Salt Air, Hula, and Leather: Merrie Monarch at Niu Bungalow
Its Merrie Time!
Merrie Monarch is right around the corner, and Hilo is beginning to come alive. This year, Salty Western is popping up on the Hilo Bayfront with Coconut Ave in a new creative space called Niu Bungalow, located just outside the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. What started as a quiet little spot overlooking the bay is quickly transforming into a shop filled with local brands, handmade pieces, and the spirit of Merrie Monarch week. Here is the design inspiration board!
Niu Bungalow is a small creative shop space we're creating along the Hilo Bayfront. During Merrie Monarch week, it will become a place where visitors and locals can stop by, browse handmade goods, and experience a little piece of island creativity.
At Niu Bungalow you'll find a mix of island-inspired brands and handmade pieces, including:
Island Swim
Western Aloha
Yemaya Designs
Salty Western
Puakea Flower Farm
Coconut Ave
and Petal & Pua.
The space needs a little love, but that's part of the fun. Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing more details as Niu Bungalow turns into a little shop on the bay.
